We had a family vacation here and were very satisfied. Sometimes I look in this direction with an eye to the future. A lot has changed for the better - in the holiday home itself: a new building has opened. The rooms are very comfortable. Prices have certainly increased, but this is due to improved conditions for vacationers and increasing popularity - the land is full of rumors, and not only. I recommend it, it's a nice quiet place, and the private beach is just amazing. The water is clean - take only rubber slippers for bathing - large stones, it will be more comfortable this way.

The good location of the holiday home, the sea nearby, visible from the window is a big plus, but the friendly attitude of the staff left a positive impression. The cleaning is good, daily. The food is delicious and quite varied. The territory is not large, but well maintained. There is a summer restaurant, you can sit there and breathe the sea breeze on the open verandas. They lived in a new building. The studio room is spacious, there is a kettle, a refrigerator (not large), a hair dryer, Wi-Fi on the 5th floor is weak. But it is very much all over the territory, including on the beach.

Great new building. Rooms are equipped with all amenities: from a bathroom to a refrigerator, TV, safe and tea set.
The food is not the most diverse, but it is enough to choose according to your taste and be full.
A nice park with a fountain.The sea is 100 meters away. Your own beach.

Nice, clean hotel. The staff is friendly. But the food is very modest for 3 people.. For people who are not biased towards nutrition. Maybe the food changes with the season, I don't know.. We were in April. There were no vegetables at all, except for a salad of tomatoes and cucumbers, fruits at least, mostly apples and oranges.

The rooms were simple: a bed, a bedside table, a refrigerator. The TV had to be rented. He wasn't in the room. There were three meals a day. We weren't hungry, but we didn't have a variety of food either. That 's why we went to the cafe . Overall it was good.

But there are many cafes nearby where you can eat delicious food. But, in any case, one of the best boarding houses in Gagra with its own beach and a guarded parking lot. But prices are rising from year to year, and with their small difference, it is better to go to Sochi and the surrounding area. We stayed at the hotel for 10 days, in the middle of July. According to reviews, I knew in advance that you only need to book a new building - if a decent room is of fundamental importance to you. The room is as in the photo, the balcony with a view of the "mountains" overlooks the road, and the mountains are hidden somewhere behind tall eucalyptus trees. But it made no difference to us, we were not going to admire nature from the balcony, and transport did not interfere at all. I don't know who wrote about dirty bed linen, don't believe me - snow-white sheets, a huge bed, a change of linen seems to be every 3 days. Beach towels are all like the best houses in London. Kitchen... Delicious, but without frills - do not expect any miracles from the chef. Vegetables, fruits, pastries - always. Delicious porridges. But to be honest, after a week, potatoes, omelets and pancakes began to weigh up slightly))) but! It's all for the amateur. And this is not quite a claim - a purely personal opinion. The beach is 3 minutes of leisurely walking. The occupants, who press beach towels with a stone, appear on the beach at the first rays of the sun. But there are enough sun beds and umbrellas for everyone. Even for guests from another hotel who are brought here with some frequency. The sea in Abkhazia is clean and warm. Take special swimming slippers with you, otherwise you will not be able to enter the sea gracefully. We bought sneakers on the very first evening, it was expensive - 400 rubles per pair. Don't count on animation - you will entertain yourself. By what? In the afternoon, you can go on excursions, because God has rewarded these lands with amazing landscapes. In the evening, you are at your complete disposal. There is nothing remarkable in Old Gagra, where the hotel stands. However, in Novaya Gagra, which is about 3 km from the hotel, there is also nothing. Well, I don't consider cafes as leisure... Although! There is a local restaurant on site, which seems to have live music in the evenings... But whether it's some kind of advertisement, such a visit, but I've never seen visitors in this cafe. And I've never heard music... A rather strange silent institution, it is not known how it earns money... In general, about the rest. Yes, nature rules in Abkhazia. But picturesque views alone are clearly not enough, sadness and longing are evoked by the numerous abandoned buildings that remained here from both the tsars and the Soviet period. In the absence of Turkish and Egyptian resorts, Abkhazia won. We had a good rest, if you like a quiet hotel vacation, you will like it.

Of course, in the middle of autumn, the restaurant near the beach was no longer working, street bathrooms and other small things were closed. But the weather was great, there were few people. Come on, let's go! We had a rest in September 2020. No matter how clear it was from the photo, we would have the old building, but it didn't scare me, it looked normal. However, upon arrival, when we were given a room, which was also washed after other guests, we were shocked what was waiting for us inside. The room was on the ground floor, from the entrance to the left along the hall. There was mold everywhere in the room, bedbugs in the chandeliers, the bathroom was dirty after cleaning, patches of dirt just as if they hadn't been washed. The closet is older than the Priest's dog and is also mounted on nails and boards and bolted to the wall. The furniture is in terrible condition, well, everything was in terrible condition. The stench was unbearable. And why this room was given up at all remains a mystery. My husband had to work hard to get us another one, because I passed out after a daily flight and travel. As a result, we moved to the 4th floor, the last one. It was already better there. But all the same, the feeling of deception did not leave me. This whole situation has left a fat imprint on the entire vacation. However, the location of the hotel is excellent, the dining room is delicious, the beach is being watched, a beautiful courtyard with a fountain, dolphins have been spotted. It is a pity that the owners have no desire to put the old building in order a little.

We went at the end of December, with a one-and-a-half-year-old child. There were two people in the hotel besides us, they were beautiful. The kitchen is ordinary, you can say homely, normal. Somewhere by December 30, vacationers began to arrive, but not much. We lived in the main building on the 5th floor (by the way, the photo was taken from the window), everything was fine. The room was cleaned every day. The staff is friendly, the hotel is clean, parking is free, there is a bar downstairs. If you compare it with a hotel in Europe (Spain), it will pull 3 stars, except for the kitchen of course. The only thing that did not suit is that there are also hotels and a passing road around, everything is far away. We took a taxi to the Seaside Park, to the local market in New Gagra for local tangerines and walked along the coast. The weather was pleasant, there was no rain, the only time when it was cloudy they dressed warmer. All the rest (7 days) we went in autumn sneakers, hoodies and vests, of course we should take jackets with us, at least short insulated ones and hats. The photos of the hotel on the website correspond to reality. But there is another building on the territory, apparently an old building, we haven't been there, so I can't say anything.

I have already written a review about this boarding house, we are still resting here. I want to say how the attitude of the canteen staff of the new building towards the guests is puzzling... That's an understatement... Fruits, as I wrote in my first review, are almost not given in the boarding house, so naturally we bought them on the market ourselves. Being in the south and not eating fruits is somehow not clear... Of course there is no room in the room, and it is not needed because everything is full board. We bought a juicy, ripe watermelon... My husband went to the dining room and asked for a knife to cut it, said the room number, that we would bring it back in the morning for breakfast... He was lectured that there are so many of us, dishes are missing, etc. Further words are generally something... When you bought a watermelon, what were you thinking about???
So let's just ask for a knife in the dining room..... Which is even simpler... This request did not cause such problems in any hotel... It was easier to just steal this knife and there were no problems and a spoiled mood when you were being scolded as a boy for who knows what. The lady in the dining room, you work in the service sector and their mood, their attitude to this institution depends on you, on your work, how you communicate with people. We need to love more people, to love our work, and you are probably tired of it or have never loved it, since we annoy you so much with our petty problems... We paid the money for the rest, it turns out we gave you a job, so why do you communicate with us as if you were doing a favor.... Phew. The knife was given in a second by the girl from the lobby bar in the lobby... Apparently, everything is fine with her knives, mood and upbringing....

I was not in the buildings inside the holiday home, but I enjoyed the beach and the service of this sanatorium with great pleasure. Clean area, fresh water showers, changing rooms, toilets, there are tables for playing table tennis, badminton rackets. Now I recommend everyone to choose this holiday home. I'm sure there are many more advantages that I just don't know about. I was vacationing in a guest house nearby.

There is a complete horror in everyone who comes here, prepare for infection at 100%, the service in the dining room is disgusting, spoons are not washed, mugs too, as a result you will lie with an intestinal infection. There is dampness in the rooms, mold on the walls, a thick layer. You will also be provided with sleep at night, from 01:00 to 06:00 the transformer is so noisy outside that it is simply unbearable to sleep in rooms, the noise is like an atomic bomb. To the question to the administration of the sanatorium named after him. Chelyuskintsev, there is zero reaction, they have one answer, no numbers, that's it. They won't even lift a finger to resolve this issue, and most importantly, they won't refund the money if you want, either, and they won't answer on what basis they refuse you a refund. The prices for cellular communication here are also cosmic, it is easier to call in Dubai than from Abkhazia. In the evening, a flock of mosquitoes also eat. As far as I am concerned, everything can be said more simply, But there is just a minus in everything. Especially in the old building, it's better not to move in there. The operator says that there is a cosmetic repair, but there is none. Dampness is just dampness.
