A huge, modern airport, near the metro.
Among the disadvantages: it took a long time to find a terminal for issuing S7 airline tickets, an information board was needed, since airport staff could not tell. Large, or rather giant queues everywhere.
A huge airport. There are tips for navigating the territory. I didn't get too confused when I wanted to go through passport control. First, there is a passport control for domestic flights, there are many of them. Then the passport control for international flights is located. The staff is strict. There are many exits from the airport. You need to understand which exit you need. Check before departure where they are waiting for you upon arrival in Istanbul. The airport has 5 floors for passengers and there is also Parking for cars, I saw 3 floors, I don't know how many of them. This is a city. There is an escalator road at the airport that takes you through the territory. There are many shops and cafes. The prices are different. You need to look, I did not immediately realize that the price tags on the product are in euros, not in lira. It is very convenient to take off. Each flight has a separate waiting room.
It is large, clear, clean, and there are enough toilets. Everything is convenient. Shops, restaurants/cafes are in abundance. As a disadvantage, there are not very many seats.
A huge (well, not Frankfurt, but also a big) airport, but everything is intelligently planned. I've been there many times, I've never been lost. The prices in dutik are upsetting, that's a fact. However, as an international hub, there are 0 questions. Control, not to fuck off, even in business class. And without any kinks. All services work well, from cleaning to passport control.
Plus, the airport is new and beautiful.
The airport is huge, and you have to run, departing by Aeroflot, with your feet, as a rule, to the farthest exits. There are few or no travelators in the departure area. Navigation is crooked, drives past shops, although there is a parallel passage where there are fewer people and the path along it is shorter. When the boarding gate is assigned, the toilets near it are closed for maintenance. It is difficult to buy strong drinks - everything is in glass and in large volumes. Sheremetyevo Airport is much friendlier.
A huge but understandable airport. It took us a while to figure it out, because we don't know English well, but the nationality of other passengers helped a lot - they guided and prompted in sign language! I recommend looking at the layout of all the necessary locations in advance, well, if it doesn't work out, then just follow a large number of passengers - they will definitely take you to the passport control desks!
a huge airport. duty free is just super big. and that he's not the only one who likes it. There is a large duty free store in each direction.
Recently, the saltbae restaurant from a famous chef opened at the airport - it's impressive.
A cool airport, beautiful, prominent and stately. Lots of greenery, convenient accessibility, both by transport and just by metro. And the view... is a separate love story
A very large airport, but at the same time convenient and thoughtful, there are smoking areas and many restaurants inside, although sometimes you have to walk for a long time due to the size of the airport
Beautiful airport:
- a large airport, but at the same time everything is very conveniently located and organized
- the inspection is fast, although there are a lot of people passing
- passport control - there is a queue, but it moves very fast, a lot of windows are working
- the Duty Free zone is extensive. It has everything from standard perfume racks to various brands
- many options for snacks and coffee, including Starbucks (the price tag in Starbucks is clearly higher than in the city)
- everything is clean, spacious in the boarding gate area
- Tax free - I did not get into long queues, everything was fast and convenient (money is given in cash to choose from - euros / dollars)
- WiFi is stable
- the airport is quite far from the city center, but there is an official taxi at the exit. To the center of Istanbul - $ 30 or about 600 liras, if you take a regular yellow taxi (black taxi is more expensive).
I would like to express my personal gratitude to Kamil, an employee of Aeroflot, who works at the Istanbul airport in the Aeroflot office. He helped us a lot in our difficult situation, met us halfway and helped us in every possible way, unlike the hundred Turks we turned to. Thank you so much for your kind heart, Camille! And may the same open, responsive people meet on your way and help you solve your problem!
Gorgeous country Turkey - Istanbul is a magnificent city. It is a very beautiful and large airport. Airport services are working fast. The only thing that takes a long time to walk around the airport, but that does not affect the experience of the airport.
The airport is like an airport, everything is super expensive , probably like everywhere else at any airport . Duty-free is of course excellent, there are luxury boutiques, but the prices are also correspondingly the same.
A big new airport. In general, everything is normal- clean and understandable with pointers. But here are the prices in the shops.... It is not clear where they were taken from . Very expensive... It's good that McDonald's has been opened (to the ABS shopping area). And there is a sleeping area (in armchairs) as soon as you pass through customs, go left - to the end and then left again. There you will see this magical place on the left side.
I really liked the airport, which is large and beautiful. Excellent architecture, lots of seating, everything is clearly painted, no one gets lost. Flights are not announced.
The airport is international and simply huge, this is the first time I have seen such a number of berths. It is very convenient to move to the gate, using a travelator. The navigation is clear, everything is organized, but nevertheless the queues are huge.
The airport is cozy, there are many different shops and cafes, a large selection of goods for every taste, everything is clear with logistics, it is impossible to get lost, there are signs all around.
It's very big, but everything is clear inside, it's hard to get lost. There are information boards where you can search for what you need at the airport in different languages, even plot a route on the map. Dukes are very expensive, unfortunately
Nice new airport. There is a metro to the city. There are signs to the metro, it takes about 10 minutes to walk from the terminal. The fare is the standard metro fare (it was 21 lira). There are smoking areas at the airport. The cost of Duty is higher than in Sheremetyevo.
A very large airport. The prices are just not affordable. It's generally fine. The lira is changed at an unfavorable rate. You can change a little bit for the road. It is better to look for an exchanger in the city. I liked the city very much.
A beautiful modern airport, stunning in its size. It is simply huge, It is convenient to get by metro, an Istanbul card can be purchased directly at the airport.
It's cool that there's a subway station. The navigation is clear. The price tags in cafes are horse-made. Coffee in the McDuck is 7.5 $. For fans of brands, the entire lux is presented. There is Wi-Fi. We need to get a ticket at the stall.
A nice, comfortable, very large airport. There is an exit to the subway across the street. By metro, you can get to the center for about 150 rubles for a minimum of 30-40 minutes. Only the purchase of a ticket is complicated. Taxi from the airport is 50 Baku.
The coolest airport in the broadest sense of the word, everything is convenient and comfortable for people. Everything is clear from the signs. I want to go to this airport again and again
A new, large airport, everything is best, but for me there is not enough professionalism for the airport staff. Our flight was postponed several times. Plus, the information board first showed a check-in at one counter, then at another, then an employee took us from line K to line C (damn, it's a long way to go with three children) and in the end they made us wait another half hour. In general, the interior is beautiful, everything is new, but the staff needs to be trained.
A large airport with a very large crowd of people. Due to the fact that not all security checkpoints are working, there are very long queues. It is necessary to arrive 3-4 hours before departure. And it is necessary to take into account the long distances inside the airport. There are no hotels nearby as in the old airport, you need to take a decent taxi. There are many shops with a large assortment inside, but it is very expensive
A huge airport. But, everything is intuitive, you will not get lost. There are many places to eat. That's just a little expensive! There are a lot of Dudes, they work around the clock.
Nice new airport in Istanbul. Great dute free. There is a business lounge. The airport is quite large, so you'll have to walk around. Passport control is fast
A new, large airport, but very long. It takes about an hour to drive from Istanbul. Everything is intuitively clear, everywhere there are signs with the location of different locations in meters(!). There are terraces for smoking. The problem with passport control is that there are different windows for Turks and foreigners, and where which ones are not specified. The distance between the boarding gates from A to F is 20-25 minutes. The exit number can be seen on the scoreboard 1.5 hours before departure. There is no sound notification that we are used to. The entire second floor is a solid Duty Free + restaurants. Prices for food and drinks are 6-7 times more expensive than in the city.
A chic airport, you will always find something to do, there are playgrounds, there is a place to sit at the airport itself, many different food outlets, but very expensive, of course - we ate at a burger for 2 adults, and 2 children (standard - potatoes, vopers and drink) - for 75€
A beautiful, modern, large airport. Contactless self-check-in, if you have any questions, the staff is always ready to help. Assistance to people with disabilities at all stages of their stay at the airport.
It was my first time at this airport. I'm thrilled! Very convenient, everything is clear. You can spend your time comfortably while waiting for your flight. There is an hour of free Wi-Fi
A very convenient airport for connections, and if you travel in business class, then everything is perfect, everything is without queues , a good business lounge. In short, it is worthy
Huge functional and convenient. Attentive flight attendants, good snacks on the way. You can get free Wi-Fi in the waiting rooms at the counters with your passport.
In a huge airport, everything is thought out to the smallest detail. Praise to the designers and builders. The staff tries to do everything quickly and accurately, with rare exceptions.
The airport is a very big, huge transport hub! That's why there's a queue everywhere!!! Take this into account when you calculate the time of arrival at the airport! There is a queue for registration, a queue for passport control, a queue for the business hall! Well, moving around the airport itself to the desired boarding gate also takes a lot of time! A huge duty free zone, you can buy goods without tax
An excellent airport, although very large, many cafes (expensive), smoking rooms are located almost everywhere where it may be needed, clean toilets, shopping 🤑
It's just a huge airport! From the check-in desk to the boarding gate, it took about 30-40 minutes. Therefore, first find a way out, then navigate by time, and if it remains, then you can go to cafes or shops. In principle, the airport is modern, everything is written, everywhere there are signs in English and pictures, and a Google translator to help everyone. There are a lot of people, check-in counters from A to M or N, it seemed to me - kilometers. In general, a large modern airport.
A good modern airport. It is located 60 km from Istanbul. So it's at least an hour's drive to the historical center. And then if it's Sunday. Everything is intuitive inside. Passport control and baggage unloading are fast.
Amazing airport! Be sure to sit in the business lounge, where you can not only relax, have a snack, but also take a shower! The situation is calm, departures are announced!
Huge airport/ neighborhood))) (3 levels, in the international terminal from gate A to F 25 minutes on foot) on travolators, a huge number of boutiques, etc. In general, it is quite easy to navigate.
A beautiful modern high-class international airport! Everything is cool and at the highest level.. Prices are the same as at all other airports in the world!
The airport system is fine-tuned. Quick passport control, shops, getting tax free, if you have a family pass, a lot of luxury boutiques! Great airport ❤❤❤❤❤
A large airport. Everything is thought out, everything is for people. If you are flying with a child, there are bathrooms for families - it is very convenient: a changing table, a high chair for the baby, a toilet for parents, dryers and so on. Cleanliness, all navigation is thought out. I really liked it. There are many boutiques. The food is expensive.
A huge airport
Large areas
But also more and further to go to the side or to the exit
Of the advantages, for me there are a lot of places where you can just sit and give away a huge number of shops and pebbles, everything is decent
Minus the weak ventilation it's stuffy
And taa is super
This is the biggest airport I've ever been to. Therefore, if you are late, you will hardly be able to get to the boarding gate quickly, you can walk for 10 or 20 minutes. But despite its scale, basically everything is clear, fast and convenient, even for foreigners. Upon arrival, it is very convenient to use the free Wi-Fi connection desk for 1 hour with the help of a passport. Passport control and inspection were carried out promptly.
A huge airport where you can find everything , pharmacies , food, clothes, appliances.
There are no queues and jostling anywhere. Passport control is pleasant, you can go by phone, the ticket has not been printed for a long time, we take care of the trees))
If you look closely, this is a very cool and modern airport, with excellent recreation areas and professional staff. Somehow I had to wait for Aeroflot check-in for 4 hours, spent them with my family without tension in the lounge area, ate tasty and not expensive! But you need to be careful with the departure zone, since time flies like a blink, and it can be very far to your gate!
