There are many exits from the airport. You need to understand which exit you need. Check before departure where they are waiting for you upon arrival in Istanbul. The airport has 5 floors for passengers and there is also Parking for cars, I saw 3 floors, I don't know how many of them. This is a city. There is an escalator road at the airport that takes you through the territory. There are many shops and cafes. The prices are different. You need to look, I did not immediately realize that the price tags on the product are in euros, not in lira. It is very convenient to take off. Each flight has a separate waiting room.

It took us a while to figure it out, because we don't know English well, but the nationality of other passengers helped a lot - they guided and prompted in sign language! Beautiful airport:
- a large airport, but at the same time everything is very conveniently located and organized
- the inspection is fast, although there are a lot of people passing
- passport control - there is a queue, but it moves very fast, a lot of windows are working
- the Duty Free zone is extensive. It has everything from standard perfume racks to various brands
- many options for snacks and coffee, including Starbucks (the price tag in Starbucks is clearly higher than in the city)
- everything is clean, spacious in the boarding gate area
- Tax free - I did not get into long queues, everything was fast and convenient (money is given in cash to choose from - euros / dollars)
- WiFi is stable
- the airport is quite far from the city center, but there is an official taxi at the exit. To the center of Istanbul - $ 30 or about 600 liras, if you take a regular yellow taxi (black taxi is more expensive).

There are terraces for smoking. The problem with passport control is that there are different windows for Turks and foreigners, and where which ones are not specified. The distance between the boarding gates from A to F is 20-25 minutes. The exit number can be seen on the scoreboard 1.5 hours before departure. There is no sound notification that we are used to. The entire second floor is a solid Duty Free + restaurants. Prices for food and drinks are 6-7 times more expensive than in the city.
