We had a vacation with our family in early September 2020. We chose a hotel for a long time, we wanted to see Gagra and at the same time get into human conditions, because a 1.3-year-old kid was traveling with us. Compared to other nearby hotels, this one turned out to be the most modern, we lived in the 3rd building on the 2nd floor. The building is new, the room is 2 rooms, but everything is very small (1 room of 6 squares, the second one is slightly larger, it looks different in the photo). The whole situation is modern, they will give you free Wi-Fi at the reception, but it does not work in the room, only near the pool, and we did not sit there, went to the sea. The floor is tiled, everything is clean, but there is no ventilation in the bathroom, the smell is strong. Water and electricity were turned off several times a day. We had a room with a kitchen, you can cook, all the utensils for this are there. We ate in the dining room. On the one hand, everything is good there, you can even say it's delicious in places. The children ate this food badly. My husband and I flew in at first, but after three days our stomachs ached, this is a separate topic, nothing came up, everything was paid for, so we went and chose what was more pleasant. Almost everywhere, even in rice and mashed potatoes, maybe in porridge, because the child did not want to eat it at all, seasonings were added, which make him sick after a few days, I want rice to be rice and potatoes to be potatoes, do not spoil the normal taste of decent food. Now about the abdominal disease, we all suffered, though not for long, for 1 day each, then a diet, I vomited and, sorry, I had loose stools, the rest just had a chair. We don't know what it is or where it comes from, we didn't do samples, we didn't even buy ice cream at sea and didn't dive and wash immediately after bathing, but it didn't help. All vacationers suffer from this, the audibility is good and at night we heard neighbors who were sick, an ambulance was called to one year-old child from the hotel. We continue to go on a diet. I do not recommend traveling here with children, given all of the above, as well as due to the lack of infrastructure for children's recreation in the hotel and in the city, in principle. I really missed such a review, so I decided to write it myself, so to speak, after looking from my bell tower. A huge disadvantage, it does not apply to the hotel, in passing the border. You will be offered a transfer, but it is not easy to get from point A to point B, it is to get from the airport to the border, get out of the minibus and run on foot after the guide at the checkpoints for 2 km, then a new bus and let's go further. And another nuance, children are evaluated not by age, but by appearance, a large child means that it is immediately overestimated into an adult and goes at adult rates, a very unpleasant moment, but I cannot keep silent about it. Cleaning was done daily, linen was changed 2 times a week, towels were given for the beach, but not everyone is offered. Mosquitoes have been tormented, there are mosquito nets on the windows, but they don't seem to help, there are a lot of mosquitoes at night. In the third building, it is very noisy at night from the hum of refrigerators, since there is a kitchen in front of the building, or from the generator, or from the air conditioners of 2 buildings, because they are very close, just right next to each other. Dogs also bark at night, I thought it was from the rooms, it turned out to be stray, they wander everywhere, even on the beach, come and lie down where they want, and I feel sorry for them, and I'm afraid for the children. The nature is incredibly beautiful, mountains hang over the hotel and the city in general, they did not get on the tour, they are from 10 to 18 o'clock. Take the pot with you or you can buy it, as well as baby food, there are shops nearby. The city, as a whole, is in a deplorable state, it is cleaned very poorly, as in Soviet times everything was laid down, and now it is only half-abandoned.

I stayed at the hotel from April 21 to April 26, 2021. The room is great, spacious. The linen is new, clean, not washed. There is a kettle and a refrigerator in the room. The balcony, on which you can take out a table, faced the courtyard, overlooking the pool. The pool is heated with hydromassage. There is a shower cabin in the room. Since the season had not started yet, the breakfasts and dinners were portioned. It should be noted that the portions are unrealistically huge, it is simply impossible to eat everything. Very tasty cottage cheese, sour cream. The sea is 3 minutes away. Special thanks to the hostess of the hotel Svetlana for the friendly attitude towards the guests. She was at the hotel every day and was always ready to help, as well as the receptionist Inna. The most positive emotions remained from the stay. I recommend this Hotel.
I advise no one to come here, because only we will rest here now!!!

We had a rest in Gagra in July-August 2019. I really liked the hotel-polite and friendly staff, cozy rooms with all amenities. The hotel consists of 2 buildings, 1 slightly older, 2 new, 10 meters between them. In the courtyard of the second building there is a swimming pool with warm water and a waterfall, there are sun loungers, 3 covered gazebos, an indoor playground, benches and tables in the courtyard. The food is just super varied and delicious! It is ideal for families with children - every evening there is an entertainment program with animators! Thanks a lot to the hotel staff for a wonderful stay!

Like it. We were in May. There are few people. The service is good.
We booked a hotel and made an advance payment, we came to them tired and hungry, we were told we would not let you in since there are no places (we sold it to someone more expensive) I do not recommend this place!
A chic hotel, chic, friendly, kind and helpful hosts. Incomparable, very tasty, homemade cuisine. Very good renovation, comfortable rooms with balconies. Very good location, close to markets, shops, two minutes walk to the sea, very clean beach, with developed infrastructure (cafes, showers, changing rooms, sun beds) Many say that they treat Russians badly, do not believe me, they have been many times, I really liked it - people are kind, responsive, just need to behave normally and to lead culturally. Vacation is a fairy tale, almost like in Turkey. I highly recommend the Magnolia Hotel to everyone!
I liked everything, one room has free WiFi, the second is already paid, everything is fine with food in their cafe, too, buffet, you pay 300 rubles and take as much as you want, everything is delicious, but you can't take anything with you, I read the reviews, everyone cleaned and changed their linen every 3 days, we did not have a week it never happened, the floors were not washed, the bed was not changed once, we lived in the old building, it was strange. But after reading the reviews, I was convinced that it was good that we were in the old building, there is no such audibility as they say, people who rested in the new one, our room was very nice with a balcony and a view of the new building.

We had a rest in July 2019. The hotel has a modern renovation, landscaped grounds and a small but lovely swimming pool. The rooms have split systems, TVs, showers. At the same time, the audibility is the same as in the Khrushchev of the 60s. You can even hear the quiet conversation of the neighbors behind the wall, it is unlikely that you will be able to retire. The dining room is on the ground floor of the hotel. For 300 rubles you will be fed, ala buffet, but there is not much food for the volume of vacationers, it is not particularly diverse and actually not very tasty. The maintenance staff is a separate topic. The rooms are cleaned when it is convenient for the maids, not for you. At the same time, cleaning consists in smearing dirt in the corners. During the week of staying in the bathroom, no one even deigned to wash the floors, I had to ask separately. Linen is also changed by agreement, although the hotel declares a replacement every 3 days. I would like to separately note the "professionalism" of Inna's administrator. I have not seen such a boorish and disdainful attitude towards people for a long time. The answer to any question is always through clenched teeth: "no" or "I don't know." Even if you just ask for a teaspoon to drink tea in your room. Although when contacting the dining room, it turns out that dishes for vacationers are provided without problems. It is because of this attitude towards vacationers that there is no desire to come to this place yet.
This is the first time I am writing a review. I really do not recommend this hotel. Almost everyone is sick with rotovirus, some are hard, some are easier. If you don't want to spoil your vacation, don't come here! And yes, there is no sound insulation, everything is audible.
We lived nearby, it's beautiful there, there is a decent pool, you can't get into the territory without a pass, 10 minutes to the sea slowly in a straight line.
If you want to find out the true face of the staff of this hotel, read the story of volunteers from Tver, whom the staff beat because they wanted to save a homeless dog. Read it and go to a normal place.

We arrived at 6 a.m., we were immediately checked into the rooms, I called my jacket in the room, she helped me and my jacket came back, for which I thank her very much... We lived in a new building, we liked everything, the kitchen cooks delicious and by ourselves (there are no semi-finished products), but the audibility is a huge minus, in the evening we listened to a neighbor singing in the shower 🤣🤣🤣
The outdoor pool is heated, if you turn up the temperature by a couple of degrees, you could swim with the children.
Magnolia has two buildings: old and new.We lived in the second building (in the old one) of this hotel this year: from May 13 to 22.I did not like the lack of sound insulation in the rooms.It felt like the whole floor was sleeping in one corridor!
A good hotel, cleaning every day, linen is changed every three days. There are three meals a day in the dining room, they cook very well, new clean dishes. There is a swimming pool next to the second building. Friendly staff. We will definitely return to this wonderful country!
The food is delicious, but the room cleaning leaves much to be desired, poor sound insulation. It feels like you and all the neighbors on the floor are in the room.
