A wonderful place in terms of the beauty of nature and the purity of the sea. Unfortunately, the boarding house itself has been running for a long time. It is now being actively restored. Part of the boarding house has already been updated, and some are just waiting for their turn. The buildings are located right on the shore, which is very convenient. There is everything on the beach (sun beds, changing cabins, showers). In the evening, there are several cafes and people walking along the embankment.
I put 4 stars only because there is still a lot to restore. But maybe in 2-3 years I will put 5 stars already.

OPK Pitsunda is a paradise for those who love the cleanest, warm sea, fresh air and want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Majestic pines, mountains, lots of sun bring a lot of positive emotions. The territory is closed and very large, the embankment is about 4 km, the beach is pebbly, very wide with all amenities: sun beds, umbrellas, toilet, shower (free of charge). There are many stalls on the embankment with everything you need at very low prices, compared to Sochi. There are also many cafes, a dolphinarium, animation for children (free of charge), a water park, various marine activities. The only thing that is not very pleasing is the food, it is sanatorium there, that is, it will not be very tasty for fans of fried, fatty foods. Although there is a buffet and always offers 3 types of first courses, porridges, 3 types of meat, 2 types of side dishes, salads, mostly boiled or fresh beets, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes and various sauces, cabbage in various forms. Also pastries, fruits, juices, tea, coffee. In general, the food is not bad, but it gets boring. But cafes that offer a lot of delicious, hearty dishes at very affordable prices save you. Rooms of various categories from old ones without repair to new modern ones with all necessary conditions. I advise you to take a room of the first category with a sea view and preferably 11-14 floors, the view is amazing!!!!

We arrived at the pension OPK Pitsunda, the Golden Fleece hotel. I haven't seen this before, the room is tiny, there is no closet, there is no table. Things are lying on the floor, there is no place to put them, there is no balcony, you can dry things after the beach only in the bathroom and then if you did not adjust the ropes yourself. Shampoo, conditioners do not give, they gave a piece of soap for two. The mirror is broken off, there is a cloth hanging in the shower that constantly sticks to the body during bathing, it is very unpleasant. There is no bolcon, there is no masking net on the window, flies, mosquitoes are all here. During the rain, the entire wall under the window becomes wet, which causes fungus on the wall. In a word, it is very uncomfortable, cramped and not cozy for two people. I had to beg for everything, freshener, soap, towel to change, clothes hangers, so that the bed would be changed in a week.
The only good point is the beach is two hundred meters from the hotel and then you have to fight for the sun beds. Food for three with a big minus, it is not possible to eat meat heartburn after 100%, the first two days they could not understand what, then they realized from meat dishes, well, it is loudly fabulous, they give, giblets, heart, liver, incomprehensible cutlets and meatballs, at lunch ridges from chicken. The only delicious thing is sour cream, milk, butter. In a word, anyone who likes to eat, he is definitely not here. The conclusion of the trip is that I will not advise anyone to go here and I will never come myself again

We had a vacation with my husband in mid-October 2020.The weather was wonderful, the sea was warm and clean, the attitude of the staff was friendly.There were not enough tables and chairs on the balconies, tea accessories in the rooms to admire the wonderful views from the balconies with a cup of tea. The food is very similar to Soviet-era canteens in the best sense of these words-fresh products of forgotten natural taste.But there are not enough small pastries at least for breakfast. Cons: Dirty rooms, we stopped by the Colchis building a week ago, our bed sheet with a stain was filled in, which has not yet been changed, the glasses are dirty, they probably were not washed at all, the plumbing is dirty, the mirror is stained.
Regarding nutrition, there is a lot of food, you can overeat, many different dishes, but everything is tasteless, so you can't overeat, it's better to eat in a cafe where there will definitely be a delicious dish.

The terrible condition of the rooms (see photo), dirt, stench and mold in the bathroom. The elevators are constantly working, then not. In the dining room, they do not give food, but food. Not only is there no variety, but it is also cooked disgustingly. There is nothing to feed the children there except porridge. For understanding: sour cream is "sour cream", cottage cheese is a curd mass based on something, milk is powdered, lettuce is 1 kg of cucumbers, 1 tomato, sausages and cheeses people do not take, and if they do, they all remain on plates, cold snacks are grated (raw) beets, cabbage, carrots.
Now by sea. The sea is good, the water is clear, it's nice to swim. Sunbeds are provided free of charge on the beach, BUT! there is a queue for them from 05:30 in the morning. At 07:00, they are already stably gone, as well as free umbrellas and canopies.
There is not a single free playground or play area, but there are 100,500 places where they will give you a milkshake without ice cream, fried certified potatoes for the price of 3 kg. and they will lie from 3 boxes on any question about the product. You will feel the Abkhazian hospitality to the fullest - "give me the money and go to ***". They breed everything and everywhere. There are pleasant exceptions that only confirm the rule.
There is devastation and echoes of a great country all around. Everything dies and collapses. It's very sad to look at it.
Service: Those who missed 1994, come here. Kebabs with greasy tablecloths, "hey bro, it will be delicious, at the soul, pack up", chanson or national music.
Prices: Hell Horse!!! All prices, at the time of writing, are as in Sochi. But there is nothing. There is no service, there is dirt and garbage everywhere. Here you can look at endless rocks and waterfalls. Except for fr. Ritz, everything else is dull.
In short, I bought myself an invaluable experience and will never come here again, like dozens of people with whom we communicated during the vacation.
I implore you, dear reader, overpay 15-30% and go to Turkey, Tunisia, Egypt, Thailand, Vietnam or wherever else. There is definitely nothing to do in this hotel!

They are fed mainly cabbage and pasta. There are not enough sun beds for everyone. When we arrived, we immediately collapsed on the bed to the floor, fortunately then we rested it. By the way, the administrators will yell at you if you try to come with a claim. In general, we tried extreme and goodbye Abkhazia for the price of Turkey.

The buildings of the Soviet era are interesting, after all, people built thoroughly and with a soul, not like modern and similar boxes now. I was on a raid, for 5 hours in total, I looked at almost nothing, but I got my eyes into retro architecture. I was most surprised by the pharmacy, which is in the center. That is, you take a taxi from us and pay for the car regardless of the amount. We were traveling with our family, me, my wife and two small children, in short, upon arrival, I began to extort money in all seriousness, - I told you, you'll pay me anyway how much I told you or you don't understand well! These were his words, although at first he was a very good-natured man. He began to tell me that you are not the only ones who did not want to pay, but I keep my gun at home, otherwise you never know how hot you can shoot. I started talking about my friend who shot the guys, and that he was right anyway, they say there is nothing rude to answer us, even if he molested married people with his husband, etc. in general, I threw away 6000 and that's it, I said that I don't pay for a small child, since it's still a child. then he silently opened the trunk and handed over the things. The wife and children were very scared, because the dialogue was in high tones.
Then I found out that they breed everyone like that and knock out money, leftist people come in general and knock money literally out of tourists for not paying and another percentage on top. Be careful!
And on a rafting trip along a mountain river, I gave a plus for 1000 rubles for photos, they gave me a disk on which there should be photos, as a result there turned out to be one 15-second video on which nothing is clear and not even faces are visible. In general, they breed and are not shy.
The rooms were dirty, there were photocopies of documents behind the mattress, and women's underpants were all covered in dust under the bed.
Nobody really washes anything, apparently, since it's all been lying for a long time.
The food is cooked for pigs, we came across a hair 2 times, then my wife did not want to eat there at all.
The maintenance staff is always in the same ordinary street clothes, everyone is sweaty, carrying pots of soups, there is no service at all! Just pay the money and forget it! The place itself is good, good climate, air, nature, tranquility all around.
The wrong people got these wonderful places. I think the level of consciousness is very low in people and this is observed all around.

We had a rest in August 2021 in the Amzar building. Room of the 2nd category is a 2-bed plus an additional one.a place that turned out to be a non-folding chair from the deep Soviet times. When I went to the reception with a claim, they brought a cot, put it at the very exit. We've been tripping over her all vacation. We were not too lazy and measured the room, 3x3.5 meters, and this is for three people! The advantage of the room can be called a split system, it was simply unbearable without it in such heat, soft non-squeaky beds, and white linens. The cherry on the cake, this is the dining room! Tables covered with a film, which grandmothers use to cover greenhouses in dachas! Plastic dishes, if you do not come to the beginning of the meal, then it is also unwashed, greasy and slippery! There are no teaspoons in principle!!! They feed, I'm not ashamed of this word, like cattle! The food is not tasty, either NOT, or over-salted, cutlets are also a separate topic, every other time they are raw! I understand that this is not a VIP class boarding house, but it is possible to organize a vacation for people of economy class in a human way. What there are absolutely no complaints about is of course the sea, nature, the beach... By the way, the beach is not cleaned, what was taken out of the sea is there! There is also a problem with sun beds, not only are they mostly broken, but they are also sorely lacking. Since 2012, I have been going on vacation to Abkhazia, but THIS is the first time I have encountered THIS. I'm not coming here anymore! Would I recommend it to anyone? of course not!!!

Check-in at the "Pitsunda OPK" boarding house was booked on 09/14/2021. We arrived by plane at 22:50 a.m. at Sochi airport. The boarding house was supposed to meet us according to voucher No. 21014555 for the transfer. Arriving at 23 o'clock, after waiting for an hour, they began to call the Pitsunda transfer phone number +79407440000. They replied that they should meet us at 23:00 on 09/14/2021. That is, the next night. Why did this happen? The fault of the group of travel companies Kandahar LLC in Moscow, TIN 9204004923, is obvious.
It took more than 1,100 rubles to get a cellular connection from Sochi airport to the Pitsunda OPK boarding house to resolve the problem that had developed for us. And the ultra-expensive cellular connection, and someone's carelessness turned out to be not the last strength tests for our vacation. So, the room for our stay: 912 - 6 of the Amra building, was not prepared. Washed, there was only a visible part of the floor in the room. In the bathroom, there is stagnant water on the floor, replenished from the sink. There is a siphon blockage in the sink itself. The side of the shower stall is covered with dirt and hair. The cleaner countered our claim anecdotally: "dirty people lived here before us." So is sanitation and cleanliness in this boarding house a matter for the vacationers themselves? Indeed, we had to clean up the whole room ourselves and eliminate the water leak on the floor. But that's not all. Cockroaches lived in the room with us at the same time. Yes, yes! A vacation in the style of "it won't be boring."
Seven days pass. I remembered the habit of changing the bed linen at home. I had to remind the reception about this. But it turned out they had a different order. The laundry was brought to us on 09/21 p.m., 8 days later. In addition, the duvet cover was replaced with a sheet in the changed linen. Moreover, it is smaller than a blanket.
I would also like to say about the paid service of our meals during the absence on any excursions. This service was performed by the boarding house only when choosing their tour. The boarding house refused to provide our meals for all other trips around Abkhazia. And the boarding house does not provide compensation for our preliminary food costs.
The weather also disappointed the rest at the Pitsunda boarding house. It rained almost daily. And the room was getting damp too. The heated towel rail did not work. The clothes were not drying out. The air conditioner is designed for cooling only.
And yet, it is impossible not to notice how, at the moments of looking at the sun in the sky, vacationers fought for sun beds on the beach. There were not enough sunbeds catastrophically, emphasizing the unhealthy tightness of the owner of the boarding house. And, this stinginess of his loomed over everything that should be obligatory for him. Of course, I don't want to go back to this anymore. Never!

I had a rest from 09/28/2021 to 10/7/2021. The rooms are what is called a "Scoop". A fluorescent light fixture on the ceiling, a washbasin, a telephone wire sticking out of the wall. But there is a loggia. And the bed and mattress are good, modern wardrobe, clean linen.
There is a spacious dining room, the food is delicious - a buffet.
The sea is clean, without algae.
The excursions are interesting and well organized.
In the evening there is a disco at the Seaport to the percussion-drum songs of Gentle May.
In general, if you like the unobtrusive service of the Soviet era, come here!

The worst place I've ever been. We had a rest in July-August 2021. The staff is rude for any reason, does not fulfill any requests. The food is disgusting, it's hard to even call it food, dogs are better fed. Everything in the rooms is falling off, dirty. The maid doesn't clean anything. They didn't even give me towels on the first day. Bed linen and towels are not changed. There are almost no umbrellas and sun beds on the beach, for such a number of vacationers it can be assumed that there are none at all. Nobody cleans the beach, bottles, lids, garbage are lying around. I would never advise anyone to come here in their life. A complete dump
